it is somewhat normal to bleed after a D & C, although if you are saturating a pad and tampon more than once an hour that is too much and you should be seen in ER immediately. also taking motrin every 4-6 hours can help slow down bleeding so you may want to try that too. hope i have helped.

Bleeding after a D/C can last for a week and a half. It seems like it should be resolving if it is already lightening up. If you are unsure, you need to have a health care provider check you up especially if the bleeding becomes more heavy, doesn't resolve and or you start getting a fever.

I have had two D & C's in the past year. I would like to say I am Sorry if you had these because of a miscarriage. This is why I had to have mine done and it is a terrible thing to go though bad enough to bleed forever it seems. You might end up lightly bleeding for another week. It was about on my last nerve as I am almost certain on your last nerve. Again I am sorry

Yes it is normal to bleed some you may even bleed heavier if you lift heavy stuff. It usually goes away in a week to week and half. If you have any severe abd. pain and bleeding with bloodclots I would call my doctor.

You can bleed for a couple of weeks. It should be slowing down, similar to a period. The bleeding should be getting dark and more mucousy. It shouldn't smell any different than a normal period. Any time after the discharge stops, you can have a period - and you can get pregnant before you have a period, since you ovulate before you have a period.
