Always 100% cotton and the higher the thread count the better as everyone said, and also look for ones called "sateen".They are cotton but with a very satiny feel to them.

Modal sheets are the best. They are made from the fiber of the Beech Tree in Europe. They are the softest sheets you'll find. They are delicate though so be gentle with them. :)

100% cotton..no blends will do and make sure that the thread count is 300 or over...they are expensive but worth every penny. i go to linen and things or bed, bath and beyond with their weekly coupon and buy them in sets when they are on sale and it is not so bad...sam's has them sometimes...and tuesday morning is a good place to look, marshall's those kind of discount places.

100% cotton sateen in a 180 or higher thread count.

Price doesn't matter thread count and content are what you should look for. anything with polyester in it (though 'wrinkle free') tends to be scratchy and pill up with repeated washings.

The higher the thread count...the cooler and softer they are (I LOVE my ralph Lauren sheets, but they cost an arm and a leg)
