You need to go to an ER and get admitted for a full workup. They care if you have insurance. While you are there, ask to see a social worker and see what she can do about your no insurance situation. There's always Medicaid if you fall into the income guidelines. There's also a little known Federal act called the "Hill Burton Act" which requires hospitals that are considered nonprofit to set aside money to apply to help any uninsured patient to pay their hospital bill. This would vary with the hospital, because some hospitals surpass the profit margin further than others.

Last but least, be aware that your medical bills can be paid off in small increments. They can't take your home or ask for more money than you can reasonably afford to give and still your bills. If this is only $5.00/month, that's what they have to accept.

My sister was in a similar situation, no insurance and needed emergency surgery. The hospital worked with her, the social workers got her medicaid and she has only a small amount that needs to be paid back, no pressure.

Your health is of utmost importance. No rectal bleeding is normal and the longer you wait, the worse the outcome could be. Please don't think about money but about how important you are to someone. Every ones life has value. Don't throw yours away. The hospital and doctors will definitely work with you.

Best wishes and positive thoughts to you.

Likely the back pain and blood in stool are unrelated. Bright red visible blood means the bleeding is lower down in the GI tract. Usually means a rectal tear or hemorrhoids, the worse kind of blood is the type you do not see called Occult bleeding. Occult bleeding is the stuff cancer is made of, and the person usually presents with anemia. To put you mind at ease if possible you may want to be checked out, and if a colonoscopy is recommedned than do it.

The tingly feeling usually occurs from something pressing on the nerves. Back pain and tingly feeling sounds like a herniated disk in your back. I would recommend seeing a doctor who can diagnose the cause of your back pain and also refer you to a neurologist.

BRB in your stool usually occurs from hemorrhoids, but again, only a doctor can fully diagnose your situation.

Finally, I don't know in which state you live, but I believe no hospital can turn you away from receiving emergency care. Also, you should look into what kind of city and state funding is available for low income, or no income situations.

Good Luck.

I would definately go to the Emergency room! They cannot refuse you without insurance. You just need to remember to give them as much information about your history as possible when you get ther. Medication you are taking how long you have been experiencing the problem. Also be honest about the amount of pain (if any) you are feeling. Now go and get better! Good luck

You could try ask a nurse to see if you get an idea what is wrong with you, but I think you should go to the ER. This sounds serious.
