nightmare on elm st...

I think their both even in terms of scariness. I don't know what movie scares the hell out of me. I guess Exorcist would be it but for Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th they never seem to scare me at all. For this type of question I wouldn't have chose those two movies. I'd probably choose my favorite movie Dawn of the Dead by George A. Romero, cause Zombies seem to give me a little bit of goosebumps and I love the Gory scenes and the other would be Resident Evil. Yeah I know this seems so non-scary but again the zombies makes me shudder a bit and there was this part in the scene when the zombies are making themselves present for the first time and you hear the pipe being dragged on the floor and they appear in a slow and deadish state. I think it was well done especially for it being a modern day movie.

Nightmare on Elm St.

The Nightmare on Elm St.'s that Wes Craven did (parts 1 and 5) were great. The rest, ppffttt. I have always thought Friday the 13th pretty much sucked (all of them).

Nightmare on elm street. It makes your afraid to sleep, not just afraid of a person. I couldnt sleep for 2 days.

Nightmare was scarier when I was a kid, and trust me, I rented them all back then. Friday the 13th seemed more gory, but the freddy movies did a better job of flat out scaring you to death.

It's hard to say, you always know when somthings about to happen in either movie. I guess the one that Susprises ou the most would be Friday the 13th though. You never know exactly how Jason will strike just that he will. After a few of them you can start to figure it out though.

I Love them both though.
