I have already posted a question earlier, but I never really got a good answer. My height is 5'6. My weight now is 155 pounds. My weight a year ago was 115. I didn't start eating more, I didn't change my lifestyle, I don't eat junk at all. I've mostly gained weight around my stomach and thighs. I actually eat healthy, but still keep gaining weight. For no reason. It's getting to my head because I never had to think about it before, ever. And this is really scaring me. My periods stopped being regular because of that as well. I have consulted a doctor and it turned out I have very low progesterone levels. Can the weight gain be because of that? What can I do to fix my situation and my health? What suddenly happened to my metabolism and my body? I feel heavy and unhealthy.

You forgot to put your age but........when I was 21 the same thing happend. and now im struggling with it still and im 28, my reason is that I did so many drugs it killed my metabolism, I've been good for years but nothing comes off, finally I cut out alot of high carbs went to the healthy carbs, becuz my body can not metobilze the carbs like it use to I eat lowfat-no fat, and cut out alot of the refineded sugar, at least then my body or i can control alittle more, try having 1 serving a day of bread and starches but for the rest of the day cut it out and have fat free cheese and so on, it may help, takes some getting use to but you can control it

i am the same size as you...i dont feel unhealthy because im very athletic and know i take care of myself. I also was born with a large body frame. But anyways, it might be that your weight gain did cause a problem with your progesterone levels. Weight gain does do that, but is there another underlying problem. Like thyroid or something else? Try exercising more and watching what you eat, but maybe there is another problem...Goodluck
