No, it doesn't look bad. But a leather couch, which costs at least $500, would look better.

Yes it loooks very grungy. Classless, tasteless, and downright bumlike. You might as well put a cardboard box over it to finish the effect of a street urchin. Save money on the black leather sofa and spring for a decent bed. Thrift stores and consigment shops often have great stuff for much lower prices tehn retail stores. The bed is the throne of the bedroom. Nothing puts people in the mood to make love to me like a great bed.

Don't put your mattress on the floor, you need to have an air gap under it otherwise all the hot air from your body will condense onto the cold floor and the underside of the mattress will become a festering swamp. raise it up somehow, get some pallets if you cant afford anything else.

why don't you settle for a regular couch and buy a new bed frame or look in the classified ads for both. or sometimes furniture stores have a scratch and dent typ area .check there. but for the sake of your reputation if nothing else dont put the matresses on the floor. In my oppinion it makes a person look cheap, uncaring, and dirty. even when i was single and living with roomates i didnt do that and i was a cheapskate. the roomates did however and i got more return dates than they did.

I've had my mattress on the floor and i hated it. A basic metal frame for my guest bed only cost me $30 and it was adjustable for a twin to a queen.

It depends on the couch you want probably $300-$5000.

Try typing in a search box for "Black Leather Couch Prices" or go to a website of a local furnature store and pick one out.

The floor works well, just make up a reason to why you have it on the floor if someone asks. Like "I sleep better with it on the floor". Black couch.

it does look bad, i never had a bed frame for my bed so the mattress was on the floor it looked tacky. See if you can try to fix it.

it depends on your life style and the image you want to project to the people you invite into this room.

Your Friends may love it, and some may say it's tackie. But in the end how do you feel! That's what counts the most!
