The only door hardware I can find fits a 2 and 3/8 or 2 3/4 backset, and my old door needs hardware with a 2 inch backset. I have looked all over the internet and I only find 2 places, both of which want a lot of money.

Lowes and Home Dept do not carry them and I cannot move the hole as there is glass close by.

Ive got doors like this in one of my rooms(if it is what im thinking of).Its accroding if it is just one of them or is the closet big enough to have 2 of those doors together.Ive got 2 of them together and I just put one of my hairbows(or a big rubberband or something) on the handles so my 2 year couldnt get into it...until she figured out how to get the hairbow off the handles.Try like those cabinant latches they have out and see if you can get away with gettoing it up. You wouldnt see the latch when the door is closed.Better then having your clothes everywhere.Anything is worth a try with a 2 year old

saftey 1st sells these tie things. Look in the walmart infants dept. at the saftey aisle. They are around $5 for a set of 2. They also work great for cupboards.
