I mean, come on! Not counting scrapped, insignificant, and dead characters, you have:
Sonic
Tails
Knuckles
Eggman
Amy
Shadow
Rouge
Cream
Big
Espio
Charmy
Vector
Omega
Blaze
Jet
Wave
Storm
Silver
Elise, and
Mephiles
That's 20 characters already! And don't get me started on the others! I think SEGA needs to stop introducing new characters to help sell games, and develop on the characters they already have.

I think that intoducing a character for one or two games, then scrapping him/her (*cough*FANG*cough*) is very wasteful, but having 10-15 good, well-developed characters is a better tactic. Also, that is why I don't care for the Mario series.

You know what the sonic series is unique because of the different characters also if you think that sonic has allot of characters than try the Mario series it has two maybe three times the characters in it

Only:
Sonic
Tails
Knuckles
Eggman
Amy
Shadow
Rouge
Omega
Blaze
Silver
Elise, and
Mephiles are in the upcoming Sonic game for PS3 and Xbox 360. And what's wrong with having lots of characters anyway?

Nope. I like them but honestly I prefer the old ones.

Nothing wrong with that, I can only imagine what you think of MMORPGs.
