here are two good sites that might be what you are looking for, www.quilterscache.com, and http://www.fatquarterfever.com/pages/fatqtrexplanation.html, the first one don't show up as a site, as hightlighted in blue, but you can go to google and put in quilters cache and still get there.

I've been quilting for about three years. I'm lucky enough to have seven quilt shops within a half hour drive, so my online shopping is infrequent. Hancocks of Paducah is by far the most complete for both fabrics and notions. The only fat quarters they sell is in packages, but they have a huge selection that you can buy by the yard, in half yard minimum increments. Their prices are right around $8 per yard, and their shipping is reasonable. They have a lot of discount fabric for around $4.00 per yard, so check that section as well.

If you're looking for a specific fabric, try eBay. I've had great luck finding what I need through an online seller, and they usually will combine shipping if I buy additional fabric. From the eBay main page, click "Crafts" on the left side, below Categories. In the far left column, scroll down to Fabric and click "Cotton." Do your searches from there.

I quilt and am currently concentrating on stained glass quilts. Fortunately I have a pretty good selection of fabric shops in my general area so haven't needed to order online except for some really skinny fusible bias tape I needed--nobody I called carried it locally. Good luck on your search.
