You need to play basketball with players that are slightly better than you as well as playing basketball with people that are not as good. You will find that you will get a good guideline for the fundamentals you will need to improve on to become successful. I also strongly believe that you need to practice after your team practices. Everything starts at the free throw line with correct mechanics. When in a shooting slump, always retreat to the free throw line to gather you mechanics. If you love the game, you will spend the time necessary to improve your skills. Good luck.

Shoot, dribble , run. practice 1 hr in the morning and 1 hr in the afternoon.
