Turtle foods come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and ingredients. Some even walk by themselves. There are flake and small pellet foods sold just for baby turtles and these are good for starting baby water turtles. Turtle sticks are the most common turtle foods on the market and are good for feeding all turtles including baby land turtles like baby box turtles. Larger floating pellets are sold for water turtles and are good for all turtles including babies. Dried shrimp and dried bugs are sold and are of questionable value; we don't use them. There are pellets sold for box turtles which smell like apples and really do smell good. However, we have yet to have any turtle eat them.

some eat veggies, some only eat live food, some eat turtle pellets... what type of turtle is it?....was it found?.... start with live mealworms and see if it looks like it wants them. Ask where ever you bought it what they are feeding it, they make baby turtle food at pet stores try that.. remember turtles need warmth to get in the mood to eat. And they need UV lights or they also stop eating from lack of UV. If it is wild caught most likely you need to feed it something close to what it was eating...

Depends on the turtle, but red eared sliders are carniverous when they are babies and then when they get bigger they become vegitarians. I'd go to a local library and pick up a book about turtles, reading is the best way to get all the info you need, trust me, I had two red eared sliders and I read 3 books on them and know them inside out.

Depending on the species, in the wild they eat small fish, worms, crustaceans, etc.

In captivity, try high-quality turtle pellets made for baby turtles and bloodworms.

just about all the baby turtles eat live foods even if they turn vegetarian when they get older
i've found that the best foods for babies is worms, earthworms, mealworms, crickets, fruit flies, etc
once they get some age on them, the tortoises will start to take some fruits and vegetables
