Depends on the person. If it's someone I've only met a couple of times, yes. If I know the person, I'm likely to be the one to do the greeting.

If I see them before they see me I will greet them first. But if we see each other at the same time we will greet each other at the same time. Sometimes I will see a person that I know and I will greet them and they will not greet me back. What's up with that?!!!!!!!!!!!

Only do this if you can't remember their name. If you never say hi first, people might form an opinion that you are unfriendly. Think of how much you enjoy someone recognizing you - and return the favor! That person might need to see a familiar face.

Depends on how close a friend they are and where I'm at. If I'm at the supermarket or mall and we're really close, then I'll greet them. If I'm at Victoria Secret or other embarrassing places or aisles, then it's a no no.

If you have seen them first, then you should acknowledge. However, that depends on the importance of that person in your life. If its someone that you do not know that well, then its OK to wait for then to say hi first.

It depends on the person for me... If it's someone that I have a close, comfortable relationship with, then I will primarily speak that's if they dont do it first. If we are not as close in relationship, 9 times out of 10 I won't speak first.

no- i'd break the ice and greet them first. They'll think of you as friendly and respectful. But it really doesn't matter- as long as you say hi!

No I do not wait, I am always glad to see my friends and I will give a wave with my hand and say hello how are you? and most of the time I will chat with them a while even if it is a short and quick chat...
