Should I let my family know I have social anxiety and depression?
I am 21 and I was wondering if I should tell my family and how they will react to it.They are well mannered Christian people. I want to tell them because they keep asking me how come I stay home most of the time and don't have better job? How come I don't have a girlfriend yet? How come I don't socialize with people much? They just don't have any idea how hard for me is to even leave the house.I get intense panic attacks all the time in social situations.I can barely drive in a traffic now or go to the store. And I am depressed most of the time. Should I tell them or not? What you think and why?

it depends on your relationship with them and your comfort level, if you trust them to be compassionate and loving, great,
tell them all and be happy that you have some loved ones around you can rely on,

may be they can take away some of your fears

if you dont feel that comfort, do what i wrote in my other answer, take it in babysteps and dont give up

god bless you

Yes you should tell them. I was suffering from severe depression for months, barely getting off the couch, ever! My family was constantly nagging at me and making my anxiety worse because I was afraid to just tell them what was really going on with me for fear of what they would think. One day, I just "cracked" and let it all out and they all were very supportive and once the truth was out and I had their understanding and didnt have to pretend anymore, the healing began and I am much better today. You should tell them so they can understand how you are feeling and be supportive and helpful. Good luck.

Have you sought help from a professional, or are you self-diagnosed?
Before you approach the subject with your family, you may want to seek professional help or do some research, so that you can properly explain your issues to them.
There's no shame in recognizing you have a problem & taking steps to deal with it. Know that it takes courage, but you're not alone.

Before you tell your family, please tell a doctor first. There are helpful anti-anxiety/depression drugs that will help you feel much better. I speak from experience. Please don't waste one more minute of your life. You DO need someone to talk too though. Maybe a friend, or a support group, or a therapist. Good luck.

Having gone through some of this myself, I know how hard it is to tell your family, my Dad's reaction? "It's all in your head" Well, duh! But that doesn't make it stop! Have you looked into counseling or talked to your doctor? There are many medications now that can help, and if your family is so nice, I am sure they will be supportive.
