The world will not die because of our "lack" of ignorance but rather by our abundance of it. Religious and racial bigotry are at the forefront of our ignorant foolish self-absorbtion. Combine that with a zealot's willingness to kill to spread his ideas and you have a recipe for Armageddon. Then add nukes in the hands of terrorists and rogue states to the mix and it's end of the age time.

The problem is we, (the free nations of the world), have our own financial and economic agendas and therefore cannot agree on a cohesive effective response to the problems that are plagueing our beautiful little blue world. We put self-interest above the good of the planet. Greed is a terrible thing. And when greedy corporate ceo types gain control of government then things like the environment, global warming, famine and pestilence take a back seat to profits and power.

Is there an answer? I don't think so. Not until Jesus returns anyway.

Yes, we have to protect the world from man's lack of concern, like how global warming affects us; how weapons of mass destruction could kill people causing the world unhabitable.
Our (lack) ignorance and lack of knowledge will lead us and the world to destruction.

Nothing will die. There are so many intelligent people in this world. They will show the correct directions to ignorant people. Truth never die.

lack of ignorance? presuming that means the work of environmentalists, no. presuming that means the work of police or soldiers, no. if you mean attention from world leaders, such as bush, yes. some president some day will likely try to help some country, but start a nuclear war instead.
no good deed shall go unpunished.

Of Course it would. Ignorance is an ememy of all living things. Even God said that.
(Hsa 4:6) My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
(1Pe 2:15) For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:
