There are 532,897 Terabytes of data in the Internet

From University of California, Berkeley site
http://www2.sims.berkeley.edu/research/projects/how-much-info-2003/internet.htm

Terabytes is approximately 1000 GB.

if you buy a 500GB harddrive, you will need more than 1 million 500GB harddrive to store everything. Since it keep growing, may be 2 million 500GB harddrive now.

For those that said we don't have enough paper, etc. Think about it this way. Many of the information in the internet, is from book or paper. Or people would print that information out to paper to read. And there are still a lot of information from very old book and paper that's NOT on the internet yet.
And there are tons of book/paper that have multiple copies (like school textbooks, Novel, store book like Harry Potter, etc, same copy of library book in library all over the world). And they print tons of Newspaper around the world EVERYDAY. So we should have much more paper/books, etc than the information in the internet.

Some interesting facts
With a cord of wood is approximately 8 feet wide, 4 feet deep, and 4 feet high. It can make
- 1,000-2,000 pounds of paper (depending on the process)

And that's a lot of paper since paper is VERY light.

It's a fun question. But actually, the idea of electronic info (aside from the easier access!) is to make it unecessary to print all of it.

So it's a bit like asking, "How much paint it would take to paint the pictures on everyone's driver's licenses?" :?)
