There is no clear cut favorite in the NL. If I were picking right now, I would say the Cardinals would beat the Padres, and with the pitching problems with the Mets, I would have to pick the Dodgers over them. That leaves the Cardinals vs Dodgers in the NLCS. The Cardinals swept the season series with them 7-0, so I would have to pick them to get to the World Series, but a case can be made for all 4 teams.

Cards the team everyone expects to lose.......
well they broke down at the end of the season
but they were not the worst team at the end there was one team worse.... that made the playoffs....
Now that no one expects them to win they have an even bigger reason to win it all
New York is having to many pitching problems and the cardinals didnt do so bad against NYM this year... but if the Dodgers do go to the NLCS and face teh Cardinals it could be bad for the dodgers who sent out a not so good line up to face san fran so they could verse the mets in the NLDS...
If the Cards do go to teh world series they will no doubt struggle against teh team tehre against... but i think they can prevail, and ill be rooting for them all the way

I think they will be the darkhorse in this playoff season. They are going to surprise a lot of people I think.
