here is the rubic for the project due tomorrow:
Chemistry in the News
Project

Chemistry is involved in your everyday life from the digestion of your breakfast to fueling your car. Over the next week, you are to research, collect, and summarize articles from magazines, newspapers, or the Internet illustrating how Chemistry touches your everyday life. You should find local examples for your community, such as water quality, food safety, hazardous waste, etc, as well as examples that pertain to Louisiana and its large chemical and petrochemical industries. You should cite examples where scientific advances in chemistry have affected society. This is an INDIVIDUAL assignment. You will be graded on the following items: You have 5 articles, they are related to chemistry, you have an original/copy of the article, you summarized the article sufficiently, and you wrote a paragraph on how the article relates to chemistry, there is a work cited pages with all of the article listed.

Yahoo News does have a Science page - I read it regularly.

They also have a local news page - you type in your zip code to get it for your area..

Your teacher has given you some great directions to start with.

It might be a little out there for this project but for the furure you might consider nanotechnology as an awesome chemistry project.
