Philosophy, logical thinking. Mostly "process." The Arabs expanded and added to the math, medicine, astronomy and all sciences but most of all they preserved the ancient Greek methodology while Europe was going through the Dark Ages. Yet the basics of all Western thinking comes from Ancient Greece.

I'm not 100 percent, but I think that the days of the week, months of the year, and planets were all named after the greeks in some forms. I like the gyros too...:)

The Illiad and the Odyssey (wanderer as hero in pop-culture), architecture (look at some of our federal buildings), art (sculpture and pottery in museums here), philosophy (the Socratic method), democracy (we try to practice it sometimes).
