my ex had the nerve to call me a whore...he was the one cheating....
why is it that when a woman has sex with a lot of ppl...she is considered a "whore", but its socially acceptable for a man?????

in our society women with multiple lovers is considered a "whore, tramp,easy"...whatever...think about it...how many times have you called someone a "whore" and u know she's not being paid.

It is not socially acceptable to get paid for sex. But think about that one too...I'd rather get paid for it than sleep around for nothing...eh?
thoughts???

Glad to know he's your 'ex'.

I wouldn't sleep around either for nothing OR for pay.

Now I think that both men and women should stay faithful to their partners, and if one of them cheats, there's no need for mud-slinging. Just separate and move on with your life.

I don't think it's socially acceptable for men to cheat anyway - it's only accepted within certain groups of men. But the other half of our population (women) wouldn't agree. So - no it's not socially accepted for men to do it either.

Alot of the misconceptions depend on what gender's opinions you take more heed to. If you take men's word as the final socially accepted opinion, then you will have a skewed view of society. Start listening to the views of women and stop bleating about what men's values are.

Just find a good guy, who loves you through and through, don't settle for a guy who fancies himself, and is a bit of a lad. Those are the ones who will have one rule for themselves and another for you. Find someone with a good heart and you will realise that not all men are prats in a relationship.

labeling women Whores or good girls is a form of sexual control. By making women feel that they are dirty for natural desires a man can cheat, and be secure his loyal wife won't. WOMEN WHO GET PAID ARE ALSO BEING USED. THEY FEEL THEY ARE
"WHORES" AND THEREFORE ALLOW THEMSELVES TO BE RENTED OUT LIKE A CAR OR AN APPARTMENT. you can have different partners and not be a Whore. LACK OF SELF RESPECT AND LOVE FOR ONES SELF IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A WHORE AND A WOMEN WITH MULTIPLE PARTNERS.

You sound bitter but I hear you on the whole whore thing. Hell if I'm going to be called a whore I might as well be getting paid. Then at least I'd have something to show for my efforts.

It is a way of insulting someone. There are a lot of ways to insult people and name calling is the way most people go. Hurling insults and trying to blame the other person for their own actions. He believes you are the one at fault for him cheating. So just get away from him, never take him back and view it from this perspective he cheated on you with her and he will cheat on her with another.

All right. I've had enough of this "Men" crap,Candi. Grow up. (sorry, EJ) I have thoughts and some exp. on topics like this. Name calling is a way to express what a person feels or thinks without saying that they are just plain frightened. Remember, angry people fear only 2 things: that they won't get what they want or, they fear they will lose what they have. Think about next time you are pi**ed off. We men are as insecure as women about love and sex. This BS name calling is stupid. (if he's your X, who cares anyway) Sticks and stones, love. ___Rat PS: as to the money, I know people in the adult industry, it is fine by me, better than war. I'm no pu**y, either, believe that. He is. --R.( source: I've been engaged in the study of women for years, I'm a male.)

In this particular instance, it is a manner of trying to appease a guilty conscience. It is always easy to determine who is playing around by the comments leveled at the other party... checking up on the mate, is another sign of significance.

It's not the meaning of the word that people find offensive. It's the intent behind the utterance that really pisses people off.

I can't even begin to speculate on the causes of the bizarre sexual repression present in the U.S..

Personally I don't think anybody should sleep around.

I've called a man a whore before and he was very upset. LOL

It's the "double standard" thing. For some unknown reason, men think it's allright for them, but not for women. I guess it's their own insecurities about themselves that makes them think that way. If anyone could figure out how men's minds work, they would have alot of money.
