I think people are gay due to some circumstance that happened to them as children that rubbed off on them in a way that caused them not to like the opposite sex. I've met a bunch of gay guys in my life and it seems like all of them had something traumatic happen in thier childhoods. For instance I know at least three gay guys who were molseted by men as children. I'm sorry is this is not a politically correct accusation but it is my opinion. I am not anti gay either unless that person is molesting children. Can anyone prove otherwise? Does anyone else agree with me?

I have no evidence. But I think a lot of what you have stated has a factual basis. I also believe that there may be some genetic disposition to it....having raise a large number of animals in my life time there are some that seems to prefer the same gender as themselves which leaves me to wonder if there might be something to genetics. I do believe that a good number that are gay have had something happen to them.....people react in different ways to things....some who are molested repeat the acts against others...others deal with it positively, while others go through bouts of rage (and shoot up schools)....the human organism is a complicated and interesting study

I have gay family members that were not molested as children. I can't speak for the men that were molested, but I know my relatives are simply doing what feels normal for them, no different from me being attracted to women, I just am. Whether there is an environmental element to it or not, I don't think there is any question about whether it is a choice or not (its not).

Your reasoning may answer for a percentage of the reasons for being gay, but what causes the others to become gay, And dont forget the term gay applies to females as well,Homosexuality happens in all the animal species too.
I think its all related to the function of the brain and how your body seeks to release endorphines for physical pleasure subconsiously, then as time goes on, like anything to a human, if you do it a lot, you become both emotionally and physically .

Have you seen many documentaries or read any pages on how homosexuality is something innate in some people? I watched one on t.v., about a little boy who had no influence whatsoever, or "tramatic" experiences in his life to gear him in the direction in liking men over women. His parents accepted his decisions, which is morally and psychologically right. I think people need to do do a little more research on the subject.

I don't really believe they are born gay either but I was sexually abused as a very young child and being with a woman is not even conceivable in my mind and never will be.

You are absolutely right! NO one is born gay. Most gay or lesbian people like to have an excuse to blame their problem on. They've chosen to blame it on birth as a scapegoat. Most either, as you have said, had a traumatic experience, grown up around these types of people, or they suddenly find themselves attracted to the opposite sex. But no one is ever born gay.

no I dont agree with you. I dont see being "gay" as a negative so i definitely wouldn't believe that it takes a serious child hood trauma to be gay.

I have as much "proof" otherwise as you do, as I have several heterosexual friends who were molested. I know of none of my homosexual friends who endured this. So...there goes that theory, eh?
Also: homosexuality is not the same thing as pedophilia. Nearly all pedophiles consider themselves heterosexual.
