It's normal it will grow back. Most babies lose the patch ine the back from them laying on their backs and moving their head, so don't worry it's very normal and will grow back.

Does this say your BABY'S hair is coming out in the back? If the baby is an infant, the hair is inadvertantly rubbed off because of friction due to babies laying on their backs a lot. But I promise, as soon as the baby learns to sit up and crawl, there will be less friction to that part of the head, and the hair WILL grow back.

I actually just asked my pediatrician this question because my 5 month old is losing his hair in the back of his head and he told me that it only seems like the baby is losing his hair, when actually a baby's skull grows faster than his hair can catch up with, and when he gets a little older it will grow back.
now, i'm not sure how true that is because i can actually see strands of my baby's hair coming out, but just thought I would share what the doc. told me.

That's very normal. But you can try laying your baby on his side more often, and swith from left to right. That'll prevent rubbing it off on one of the sides too. But in all honesty, that's time consuming, because they'll roll (if able) to the most comfy positon....so it may be ineviatable....it's okay, we've all had bald babies!!! If you think it looks wierd or patchy...try a little soft cap for a while until the hair fill it in!!

Oh I have this one lol! Both my niece and my daughter had the hair loss from rubbing too and we used plain old baby oil. Not a lot, but enough to make the hair sort of slide instead of rubbing off. Good luck, I swear by this :)

most babies lose some hair if not all of their hair in the back and never lose the hair up top or in the front just clean his/her hair as ussual nature will take it's course no matter the hair will grow back when the baby starts sitting up

there is nothing u can do. all babies hair fall out it natural. if there's cradle cap olive oil works to loosen it. but do not fret the hair will grow back. r u trying to hold on to the "good hair" cute slick and curly? hair dies but the baby won't be bald forever. cheer up don't panic kiss the baby for me.

You cannot prevent this. As the baby rubs his/her head back and forth it will rub away. You could try a back neck pillow which keeps the head from moving that much. However, it will grow back.

Its normal...its from her laying and sleeping on her back and the constant rubbing. Well depending on how old she is you could turn her on her sides and rotate that way. If she is still really young you could still do that but make sure you have one of those things that stays in her crib that prevents her from rolling over onto her belly. Good luck!

the rest won't fall out because it is not being rubbed off when the child is laying on its back. this is normal! if they are old enough to lift their head while laying on their tummy then turn them over more often rather than just letting them lay on their back all the time.
