as if she has a bit of milk stuck in her throat... She is only receiving breastmilk. What could this be? It doesn't seem to bother her. I just hear it slightly but I'm wondering if it's normal?

sounds like she either has asthma (by the way its not asthma in children under 2 its reactive airway disease for all the misinformed people who answered this) or she is coming down with a bug either way this is something that should be immmediatly evaluated with her pediatrician! If you don't end up in the ER tonight, but don't let this go! By the way don't get her around steam thinking it will help, cool mist with wheezing only.

My son became into like this he might continually stare at me eating and cry, i ultimately gave him solids at 4 and a a million/2 months, he had solid head administration so I sat him in his comfortable chair and fed him 2 spoonfuls of toddler porridge.. He didnt push the spoon out so I knew he became into waiting and proceeded to grant him the nutrition and he consume all of it (I waited an entire 24 hours earlier attempting him back) and he gradually had further and extra He became into additionally breastfed and that i understand he became into waiting for solids when I gave him some.. he's now 6 months and eats porridge of a morning mashed with puréed banana, has puréed fruit of a dinner and a few puréed veg of a night and he's an exceptionally content fabric and chuffed toddler and see on in his weight! Mums understand superb, as long as toddler has solid head administration and might consume off a spoon not interior the bottle like rusk (do not try this!) it rather is wonderful! solid success x

"SHE DOES NOT HAVE ASTHMA, IT IS TOO EARLY FOR HER TO BE WHEEZING"

Those are the exact words our doctor said at that same age with our son who was only breastfeeding as well. I asked what was the noise.

The Doc said it was mucus and like you sugested milk. THE BABY'S ABILITY TO SWALLOW HASN'T BEEN PERFECTED YET, SO THE MUCUS JUST SITS THERE A LITTLE AT THE BACK OF THE HROAT, AND THE NOISES CAN BE SCARY FOR NEW MOMS, BUT IT IS OK AND PERFECTLY NORMAL!

DOCTORS EXACT WORDS!!!!

Take her to the doctor and have them see if it is normal or not. The only time any of my children had a wheezing sound was when they were suffering from asthma. good luck and god bless.

maybe she's snooring....I've heard other babies make that kind of noise before, so unless she's crying about it, I think it should be fine, otherwise, if you're stilll concerned, talk with her pediatrician.

But really, I've never had a baby before. So far, I've only babysat with my grandmother. I've watched kids that age sleep so sometimes i hear it too. That's cuz one of them had a cold. Anyway, good luck with this and don't take my advice seriously.

My daughter did that also when she was young about 4 months old. They say its normal for babies to do that, but you should take her to the doctor in case because it could be signs of a breathing problem. Please dont worry. Have it checked out also for you so you can feel better.

my daughter (she's almost 9 months now) made that sound too. i was paranoid that it was wheezing because i have asthma and was worried that she had it too. recorded it for the doc. turns out my daughter is like me... but so far not with asthma... turns out we both snore.

if you're really worried, ask your doc but i'd be willing to bet you've got a little snorer...

it could be the start of Croop( don;t know the spelling), its a time of respitory thing. My son had it and we had to go to the hospital. one thing they said to us is have him sit in the bathroom with the shower on cold and have him sit in a bounce or something. But don't put her in the water just on the floor or something.

I am a EMT and I would recommend just bringing your baby to outpatients for a check-up. It's definently a good idear.
