It is both of your homes most likely, so no he has a right to be there, maybe you should leave if you are the one breaking it off.

In Pennsylvania I was told by a lawyer that if the locks were changed the other person has the right to break back in. Both people have the right to be in the house unless there is a separation agreement stipulating otherwise, or someone has been removed by the police, etc.

Find a lawyer that gives a free consultation & ask.

You need to contact the local police department and let them know what it going on. They can arrange to accompany you to the home, while your husband is present, so you can gather your belongings.

Also, if your name is on the deed, that house IS half yours. He can change the locks if he pleases, but you still have every right to be there. The solution I mentioned is just an easier way to gather your things than crawling through the bathroom window.

I know in Texas if your name is on the the house note he has no right .. even if your stuff id in that house he has no right. I tried to do this to my husband who was abussive and the police told me he had every right to come in my house. of course they asked him to leave for the night but he had the right to come and go as he please because he was on the note. and his property was still inside.
