Well .. if you wanna look in the past, neither Soviet-Style Communism nor fascism have been pretty.

I view them both to be byproducts of the far-left. Keep in mind that the Nazi's color was red (commie) and they were the national SOCIALIST party.

I'm not trying to say Republicans are better than Democrats. I think they are both full of radical socialists and out of control.

Probably Communism, but only for practical reasons. Facists states don't seem too last long. In fact they either start wars that get them destroyed, they get overthrown in revolution, or the charismatic leader in charge dies and the facist state goes with him. Communism seems to leave a more lasting impression on people, and they support it for the good it offers. Communists states have lingered long after they have proven themselves to be destructive to the world and their people.

On paper, though, Facism is worse. Communism is based on the noble idea that the only money you should get is what you work for. (It just can't work without imposing a totalitarian government) While Facism is usually based on some sort of social-darwinistic or racist philosophy.

i think fascism for the simple reason that it aims to be destructive. no communist state has ever really existed (USSR, China etc are totalitarian state-run-economies, which is not the same thing). however, if you are just comparing countries rather than ideologies, i'd have to say Mao and Stalin killed many more than Hitler and Mussolini.
