It comes in a black and yellow box. I used to buy it at Walgreens pharmacies.

If they don't have it at Walgreens where you used to buy it, try another pharmacy. If you still can't find it, it may be discontinued.

Did you ask the Pharmacist? In Illinois where I live, it's state law to provide ID and sign a log when purchasing any cold medicine and it's stored behind the pharmacy counter. Maybe that's why you can't find it.

Benadryl works, but it makes most people sleepy. Claritin, Zyrtec, or Alavert won't make you sleepy, but they don't work for everybody. Sudafed will keep you from being stuffy, but it won't do anything for the itchiness if that's an issue; it can also raise your blood pressure if that's something you need to consider. If your doctor will prescirbe it, a locally-acting steroidal script like Flonase or Nasonex works very well for a lot of people. They have some side effects, but they're minor for the vast majority of people - usually just some occasional irritation. I started taking it about 15 years ago, and it has really kept me from having NEARLY as many problems as I once had. Plus, Flonase went generic a couple of years back (fluticasone propionate), so it's not horribly expensive any more.

Well, if Traiminic has either ephedrine or pseudoephedrine, the store may have pulled it off the shelves until they are in compliance with the new federal laws. I work in the corporate office for a convenience store chain, and all of our stores have had to suspend the sale of any products containing ephedrine or pseudoephedrine until the stores can implement the new training programs and have the signage and materials ready. Ephedrine and/or pseudoephedrine are some of the main ingredients used in the manufacture of crystal meth. So, that may be why you can't find that or other cold and flu medicines right now.

Try going here:

There's a search bar in the upper right hand corner to help you find a local store that sells it.

They probably removed it from the stores. They found a health risk for that and many other over-the-counter medicines. There is a low, but possible connection between the ingredients in it to brain hemorrhage and stroke.
