I would try to get a job at a makeup counter in a department store. The only thing is, you work for the company that you sell for so they have to hire you, not the department store. Some companies like Ulta, sell makeup and beauty products. See if you can find a job that would let you do makeovers to customers to promote new items. I worked with someone who graduated from college with a psych degree and got a job managing the Chanel counter in a department store because her sorority did makeovers for people to raise money for charity. Contact local theaters to see if you can learn how to do stage makeup, or call people who might be willing to take you on as an intern or have you work for free. Good luck!

I would start by practicing on faces. That's what I did. I told all my friends what I was doing and the more I practiced the better I became.

I work for myself and I've learned everything from our company's makeup artist. You can work when you want and the hours you want as well. Plus make $$$$ at the same time. There is lots of money to be made in skin care and cosmetic industry!

I know several girls in college that paid their through college doing this.

Good Luck!

Try getting a part-time job in the mall at one of the make-up counters. X-mas time is around the corner and many places including the mall's make-up counters will be needing the extra help. Good luck with it all.
