i feeel the departmental cricket is better than the county cricket style...the indo-pak domestic set up is far better than the english style...if india starts county like cricket...then no doubt there will be financial gains...but the overseas players coming here will take over the show as it happens in england...and they get 2 know the strenghts n weaknesses of the regional players....n go back 2 thier homeland...!!! its a bad idea to play county

Do you seriously believe that there is not enough lower level Cricketing in India? The amount of work days lost to cricket in India is not parallelled even in England or Australia . With no malice to cricket fans , I would suggest that the plebian games of Football, Hockey and other field games also deserve to be promoted. They are spectator sports that don't demand the kind of expenditure needed for Cricket. I am no less a lover of Cricket , but feel sorry for the other games which were also my favourites.

India already have domestic cricket matches like Ranji Trophy, Duleep Trophy, Irani Trophy, Challenger Trophy etc.which I feel enought to improve the calibre of the players.

Why do we people always compare each and every thing with the Western people.
Here we have lots of domestic cricket and the thing only indian players play in them.
It is not popular because it hasn't yet goe the attraction of media.

They already have them right? But you can't compete with english county criacket. they pay well and lots of other benefits. India can't afford such facilities
