I am post menopausal and I am taking tamoxifin for breast cancer. When I go to the bathroom sometimes when I'm finished there is a little blood on the toilet seat. I don't know if it is from peeing or there is blood coming from some where else. What should I do? And how would I know? It does not happen all the time

Go to your doctor something not right. If you have Cancer you need to know were it is coming from don't wait just go.

you need to see your gynecologist soon. the bleeding is most likely coming from your vagina. you would probably have more symptoms if it was in your urine. women who take tamoxifen are at increased risk for polyps in the uterus as well as uterine cancer. either one could be causing your bleeding. see your gynecologist asap to try and determine what is going on. postmenopausal with bleeding always means go to the gyn, even more so if the woman is taking tamoxifen. it does not matter if it only happened eve once, do not ignore this, it could be serious

you need to talk to your Dr, about it. if you're bleeding inside and its passing when yo pee that could be a bad thing. even if it's only happens once and a while if you don't get taken care of it could get a lot worse. if the med is making you bleed then your Dr can give you something else. hope you find out what it is. hope its nothing to bad.

I suggest that you make an appointment with your GYN and talk to your oncologist asap. It could be a side effect of the meds your are currently taking. . . Good Luck!
