Same way they get fresh food, water, gas etc. Via small supply ships that make periodic trips to provide the big ships such as the aircraft carriers with their necessities. In cases of emergency helicopters undertake such tasks as in the case in 2002 when USS Arizona was in desperate need for medical assistance in the Persian gulf.

The Fleet Post Office (FPO) receives the mail from the US Postal Service, and either sends it by supply ship or supply aircraft to the receiving ship.
