Yep, I had NO appetite during my pregnancy, which was a shame since my partner made some absolutely wonderful meals.
I was amazed that when I gave birth, I started to feel hungry again...I'd forgotten what it felt like, and I could then eat a normal plateful again.
Just make sure that you are taking prenatal vitamins and are drinking enough water.
Good luck!

Oh yeah and in fact some women may initially lose weight with morning sickness. I have a niece who is pregnant right now and in her first trimester and has actually lost weight because the smell of food nauseates her. However I think once you get over the morning sickness you appetite will pick up measurably! Congrats!

That is very normal. I'm 12 weeks along and the thought of food still sickens me. I'm so used to be hungry (because all food that does go down comes back up) that I don't even remember what it feels like to be full. My doctor says hopefully it will end soon for me since I'm moving into my second trimester.

hell yes im going through it at the moment and im only 9weeks pregnant. the thought of food at the moment makes my morning/all day sickness alot worse at the mo. or if i really fancy something to eat i get about 4 mouth fulls into the meal and then i cant eat any more due to the sickness i get. and shopping trips to the supermarket are a nightmare at the mo. so im sticking to bland foods and fruit and the occasional ice cream :-) and milk seems to help. just keep meals light and small and dont worry too much aslong as your drinking plenty. but if you do get too worried go see the doc and ask their advice. just hang on in there, and try to eat something and know your not alone in this as im sure there are many more of us out there feeling just as bad!!!

Oh, that is SO normal. I lost weight until the 5th month when I finally lost the "morning sickness" I wish they'd rename it all day sickness! It doesn't hurt the baby, just be sure to eat some healthy food and take your vitamins, in a few months you'll be eating like a pig!

Yep, definitely! I hardly ate a thing for the first 3 months because I has so-called morning sickness morning, noon and night! It goes off eventually, but till then take it easy, especially if you start to feel light-headed. Fainting in the supermarket queue's not fun!

I lost weight during my first 12 weeks, then gained it back by the 16th week. At first I hated food and could never find anything I wanted. I felt hungry sometimes but did't want to eat. I am still very paticular on what I can eat and can't.

Yes!!! Especially when you are still dealingh with morning sickness. The cravings and increased appetite usually hit in the 2nd trimester.
