That book was so awesome, I reread it a few months ago, even though I had read it in 5th grade and I am now 23. It was just as good as I remember. Well, my question is, they have made everything else into a movie, who thinks it is a good idea to make that book into a movie?

I read the book and I thought it was pretty good I have also heard rumors that they are planning on making it a movie.

I do! I really liked it, even though I'm not really into that sci-Fi kind of stuff. Our schools banned it though! I couldn't believe it. But I agree, it'd be cool to make a movie The Giver.

they haven't made the exact story line into a movie but we read the book in class and watched the movie the village which is similar

i think it would be an awesome movie! i read it in 8th grade an one of our assignments was to write an alternate ending. most everybody else's was about half a page and mine was about 5 with diolauge and what not. that book is rad!

yeah...that is a great book! don't know if i'd see it if it were a movie though......but i might!!!
