I mean... they harped on Clinton for exactly the same thing (except it was heterosexual and completely legal in every state) for YEARS...

do they really think that the democrats are just going to let it go because it was "only one guy and not represenative of the whole party"... after Republicans basically said at every campaign stop for the past 10 years that they are the "moral party that doesn't do the things Clinton did"...

REPUBLICANS... YOU MADE MORALS AN ISSUE... AND IT MAY JUST COME BACK TO BURN YOU ON THIS ONE... just saying...

you can't cry over someone else's wrongdoings and be surprised when they cry over yours...

Pancakes... so Republicans would have just quit talking about it if Clinton would have resigned? I don't think so...

jtaylor: I'm talking about that ONE SENATORS ACTION... and the reacton to it... that's it... not who knew about it when... or any of that... that's another issue

and just out of curiosity... which dems knew about it...I haven't heard of any...

TommyD_35: yes... it's a bit different with the age issue and the same sex issue... granted...

but I don't think many dems defended Clinton's actions, it's not like dems think affairs are great... but they thought it was a personal issue...

Neocon cover-up policies bit them in the rear this time. Brian J. Doyle (R, HOMELAND SECURITY) is still on trial for his pedophile crimes out of Florida.

Damn, another liberal I have to agree with. I never criticized Pres. Clinton about his actions, even the lying under oath. (I would have lied too, but, of course, I won't put myself in that position to begin with HAHAHA) And I thought it was embarrassing that witch hunt. I laughed at the jokes and joked about it, but it wasn't impeachable offense. I thought it was I bit dishonorable, but not illegal. But here comes the crap storm. Because Foley is clearly wrong and had to go. And now there is a probable cover up.

g, you are one of the reasonable ones. I 'm sure you know it is not "representative of the party" but it sure as $hit is embarrassing. Now to be honest, I consider myself a conservative, not a Republican. It just so happens that they represent me better ideologically than Democrats. So I end up defending them more, but this one it shouldn't be partisan issue, just as Pres. Clinton shouldn't have been. But here we go, a few Democrats bashing all Republican and a few Republicans returning fire, making excuses and saying what about Clinton. And I don't blame Democrats for beating up on Republicans for this one. Hopefully, we can get past this and get to real issues. I try to stay away from the personal attacks of individual politicians, because both sides have some skeletons in the closet, and I know the actions of some Democrats and Republican don't represent their parties.

BTW, thumbs up on the question.

You are partially correct here. The Republicans made morals an issue and it's biting them on the @$$ now. Most Republicans oppose Foley's actions - as they should, but they chose to try to cover it up.

just saying???..to say that all repubs are like this scum bag is wrong....to know that the Miami Harald and the st.petersberg press knew of this 1 year ago and said...ah...its harmless is wrong...to leak out the disgusting im's to a liberal blog...last week is wrong...if the repubs knew of this it would have been taken care of...as it was with the e-mails...when the foley scum was approached and told to knock it off...but to sit on this to release right before elections is wrong...allowing this scum to continue these disgusting im's

good question
all in all it's fun to poke fun at one another
politically speaking.
but this is really a problem that goes beyond
party association.
people are getting sick and it seems to be
somekind of a real sickness
is it a political issue...maybe
there needs to be tougher laws

With one glaring difference. Foley resigned immediately instead of dragging it through years of courts and grand jury investigations. Not to worry though, democrats will still have at least a few investigations. They're good at that.

I think there have been a few democrats over the years accused of the same stuff. Funny how we all like to forget that.

Well, you obviously don't know the Republican frame of mind: If we do it, it is fine, but if YOU do it, we will ride your @$$ to the grave. . .

You're supposed to forget about them bringing up Clinton at every turn. I guess it's okay to have "relations" with interns as long as they are male and underage. Legally aged female interns mean persecution.

you know, you really need to get your facts straight before you run your mouth. The dems knew about this perv as well as chose to not expose it. lets see how well they do trying to hide this fact!
