There are 3000 species of frogs/toads worldwide. Frogs can be every color in the rainbow, it depends on thier environment and what they need to blend in with. A frog's large eyes allow it to see in almost every direction without moving they also aid in swallowing. As a frog swallows its food, the eyes sink into holes in the skull and help push food down. They can be found ANYWHERE there is fresh water, from the arctic to the desert(one species can go 7 years without water).

Hope this helps.

It looks like one frog with several hundred of his closest friends.

I don't think anyone knows for sure. There are at least one hundred.

Why do frogs have such big eyes?

Don't know for certain. Guess that's the way God made them. It maybe to detect movement - both for defense and to get prey.

They can be any color but hot pink. Green, red, orange, blue... You name it.

Where are most frogs from?

Swamps, streams, lakes, ponds - usually wet areas. There some that have been discovered in the tropics and rain forests.
