Personally, I would choose ultimate wisdom. I'm not saying this to be completely original as I know most people would want wealth but wisdom brings so much that no amount of money can ever buy. Wisdom comes with time and experience.. It comes with having a well lived life.. So if my assumption is true, then having wisdom simply means that I've lived and I'd rather have that than all the money in the world. Money can never equate happiness and people who do see the two as one and the same are simply fooling themselves. Money is fleeting while wisdom comes in increments as we go through life. Hands down, wisdom wins.

Earlier this evening I read a quote from Socrates: "The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing."
I'm not a deep philosopher but I have seen this paradox in my own life. I used to know so much and as I have grown up a bit I keep bumping into how much I don't really know at all. So, if I choose ultimate wisdom does that mean I am going to be ultimately ignorant? I choose wisdom anyway because knowing I don't know it all and having a passion for discovering how much more there is to learn is how I want to wear myself out until my time is up.
I would never want to have great wealth. Balancing the check book and paying bills is tedious enough. I don't want to have to spend even more of my time managing and thinking about how to care for millions. Having lots of money is a huge responsibility unless you don't mind watching it fly away.

As far as I can understand, if someone has ultimate wisdom, they would be wise enough to gather whatever material things/wealth to themselves. And if they had ultimate wealth, they could buy the advice they needed. Sounds like a win both ways.

Wealth.

Gaining ultimate wisdom would free one forever from the desire for wealth; I think Buddha's teachings in this respect are correct.

But wisdom is generally not transmissible. It is a gift that, by and large, is enjoyed by its owner alone.

One more fully-enlightened ascetic in the world does less good for the world (in a practical sense) than a moderately-enlightened philantrophist.

Ultimate wisdom. because, with that, you can have anything. with wealth, you can only have what money can buy, which is not nearly as much as one may think.

Money can buy me all the wisdom I will ever need, thank you.
Show me the money.
The only thing wisdom will ever do for you is that maybe you will get to write a book, have others admire your smartness while they drive off in their BMW's or chauffered limo ever so glad that we have wise men around to guide us.
