No. It should not be a holiday. It shouldn't even be that big of a deal. We've had worse disasters, and allthough we shouldnt forget it it shouldn't be somthing we dedicate a day to. If was going to be a special day, it shouldn't be a holiday because holiday literally comes from the words "Holy Day" such as christmas and easter and rahashana and ramadan and so on. If it was going to be a special day it should be a rememberence day, but it was that important to dedicate a day to. They already have made big enough of a deal about it.

Oh! so that you say that in elementary words Atheists rejoice Martin Luther King Jr. day? i'm agnostic and that i rejoice this day. this actual party has no longer some thing to do with faith. It has all to do with recognizing an exceedingly good guy, who in all his knowledge, tried to help in making this a extra non violent international.

No Luke it's more like Pearl Harbor where a lot of innocent people meet death. At Pearl they were defending your right to freedom and many were in uniform serving their country with pride ,like myself. You would understand better if you wore a uniform. I salute all those victims and their families in both 9/11 and Pearl Harbor.

not celebrated but remembered. we need to remember it because a lot of great americans lost their lives that day. the people on the flight that crashed in Pennsylvania were very brave. Firefighters police officers, ambulance workers, and people of the military all showed their true colors, and should be honored and remembered for the bravery they showed

I don't think it should. Of course we can mourn and live on but we should not celebrate the deaths of those people.
