If I were a liberal Democrat, I wouldn't want to invite political discourse on this subject. But since you asked...

I'll try to answer with a question of my own. Which Democratic members of Congress (or ANY Democratic politician for that matter) resigned from their position in shame immediately upon being exposed as having an illicit sexual relationship with a young government employee?

None that I can recall...and there have been many.

Foley wasn't censured or even impeached (legal terminology for accused). He was shown the door and chose to walk through it.

Kennedy, Clinton, Studds, Frank...they all "hung tough".

So to all you liberals getting ready to hit the "thumbs down" button, I'd ask you what you had to say about other scandals that left the perpetrators sitting victoriously in their former positions. Gerry Studds rapes a 17 year old male page, turns his back on the House as they read their "censure" and is reelected 5 more times with the endorsement of the Democratic party each time. He retired in 1996 and is drawing a fat governemnt pension as we speak. Good luck trying to find what outrage Nancy Pelosi and Ted Kennedy expressed about these things.

What did all you partisans and puritans have to say about the ACLU defending NAMBLA? Where was the outrage on YA over that case?

You want consistency?... I'll give it to you: ALL of these perverts are disgusting slimeballs. They all lie. They all cover up. And they often end up in some sort of rehab. It happens on both sides of the aisle. And Democrat as well as Republican supporters should be equally repulsed.

If you're not, you are a hypocrite. Let's hear it.

He was trying to hide in the little boys bathroom but the pages are wise to him now and chased him out so the drunk tank was the last resort. Of course we all know that democrats have the power to make people gay thats why all the repubs in congress are gay.

No we are blaming the Democrats of not releasing the IM's three years ago when they started. It is a George Soros front group called CREW that had and or has these IM"sand held them until It was too late to replace Foley's name on ballots. We are glad he is gone and would have gave him the boot long ago if anyone in the party had known about anything but his e-mails which were not sexual. He was still told to stop contacting the boy.The boys parents did not want the matter pursued further.

Im a republican and I completely disagree with the congressmans actions. Obviously he's a freak. However, to stay high in the poles, the republicans feal they have to defend "one of their own". Its simply politics. Democrats do it as much as republicans, and because everyone plays the game, I feel no hostility toward Democrats when they defend the actions of their colleagues.

Maybe you should watch some Fox News Network, and get some fair and balanced news. No one that I have seen on Fox News has blamed the Democrats for Foley's bad behavior. Foley's a sick pervert, and is the only one responsible for his actions. I'm glad he's gone.

Asking all these questions is gonna cost you dearly, Neddie. You might wind up with me back on skid row (that is Level 2) if you aren't careful, Sweetie.

I don't care if you have a drinking problem or if you're gay,
those two things have nothing to do with the horror of a
pedophile.

Neddie, I'm tired of you liberals always gay bashing. Be a little more tolerant. He didn't do anything that will affect you.
