Most likely, they're jew-haters, bigots and assorted racists. The overwelming evidence supplied at the Nuremburg Tribunals were enough to fill two box car loads, this included written and radio/film recordings.

I know! And i also could not believe when i heard such a thing that Mel Gibson father said! The only explantion that could be is that these people dont like the attention and care that the world have given to the Jews for such a terrible part of history!
They try to hurt Jews and they are so blind for their believes that can not distinguish between what is really right and wrong!

Guilty conscience. The Nazis are directly responsible for killing six million Jews but the horrible truth is that Allied powers are also indirectly responsible because they didn't try to stop them. Rabbi Michael Weismandel showed FDR detailed maps of the train routes bringing pple to Auschwitz but he refused to bomb the tracks. If the Holocaust never happened, then everyone is still morally righteous and the Jews just have a persecution complex- doesn't that sound so much better for everyone's self-perception?

Which holocaust are you talking about. There were two in the 20th Century but most people seem to ignore the first one in 1915 when the Turks tried to wipe out the Armenians.
This gave Hitler the idea for doing the same to the Jews.
He said in 1940 "who will remember the Armenians in fifty years time"? How right he was.

There is a mental illness aspect to it which I find interessant. Basically, their hatred of the Jews is such that they think the Jews so wicked that they would have faked the deaths of nearly 6 million people in order to discredit the nazis...
As for myself, two members of my family died in auchwitz.... we know it partly from the records kept by the Germans, partly from reports of the arrest and also from teh others who were with them and who were lucky enough to survive.
I'd be curious to hear any alternative explanation as what happened to them.... Them and all the others.
As for Mel Gibson, I quite like Ania's explanation.
Best regards,
f.

In a word, revisionism.

I have a hard time understanding how something that's been so well-documented can be denied.

I guess these are the same sort of people who think that the pictures of earth taken from the moon were faked, and that the earth really is flat.

Its hard to explain why people even say things that so obviously happned, I had an great uncle that said terrible things like that, maybe they are so ashamed of what they did that they try and make excuses, also its like all those comsiperacy theories on 9/11 some people think that we bombed our own world trade centers, who knows how peoples brains work.

It's a general blurring of the truth.
I considered this for a moment when I first heard it, but then dismissed it outright. How could they fake everything??
What a job that would of been for a Hollywood director and government spin doctors. It would be too huge an operation.

They deny it because the Nazi movement has been dwindling, and they can't get new recruits if people think they are responsible for the slaughter of millions. They also won't get many recruits if people think their hero enacted a genocide because he was pissed off, so they deny it. It's complete nonsense, all you have to do is ask the vets who liberated the camps.
