"son las tres menos cuarto de la tarde"
That translates to
"It is three minus a quarter, in the afternoon"
A quarter is 15 minutes, so it would be 2:45 since 2:45 is 15 minutes before three. Since it is in the afternoon, it would be PM.

"son las cinco y cinco de la tarde"
means..
"It is 5 and 5 in the afternoon"
that means that it is 5 oclock with 5 minutes extra, so it is 5:05. Since it is the afternoon, it would be 5:05pm.

For 3:25, you first have to look at the minutes. Since 25 is LESS than 30, that means you would NOT use 'menos'.
So, at first, since 3 is more than 1, you would start with "son las" and then since 25 in spanish is "veinticinco", it would be
"Son las tres y veinticinco" and then if it was PM, you would say "de la tarde" and if it was AM, you would say "de la manana" (morning)

I think this is correct, I'm not 100% sure.

I'm Uruguayan and the accents and pronunciation is exceptional among them .Argentinian and Uruguayan Spanish are very an identical however Argentinian tone is exceptional and a few exceptional grammar ,I uncover it okay to talk to a Mexican however to any one from Spain I don't have any notion the right way to have an understanding of what they are saying in any respect
