Does anyone here have a dry hacking cough?

I gotten over all the other cold symptoms, but this cough seems to be lingering. What should I do?

get a good cough medicine from the chemist, or try sucking on a sweet, I find it is worse when trying to get to sleep so if you pop a hard sweet into the side of the mouth and let it dissolve slowly it helps.
