Good question, especially how they got together and jammed so well in a private session - that recording of them surfaced this year

Pink Floyd definitely did gigs and they were some of the most spectacular gis you could ever see. If you mean why didn't Floyd and Zappa gig together, I suppose it's because there would have been a worldwide marijuana shortage after that particular gig.

Try this. Go to Wikipedia. Look up Pink Floyd. Then look up their discography. Then go to YouTube and type the name of the album you're interested in and then type "full album". Fast forward through the album on Youtube, to get an idea if you like it. Listen to any complete albums that you like. Then go buy the CD.
