I've answered this question befoer and I've had the best answer each time. Trust me, this works. You will want to get a granulated form of castor oil. And spread it out over your yard. Trust me, this works, I used this and it got rid of gophers in my yard, and has so far kept all animals out of my yard.

But Paul James has show on HGTV I've watched every week for the last few years, and trust me, this guy is 100% on the money all the time.

Gophers are in every yard and you can try several different things off the shelve or castor oil but if you want to get rid of Gophers from digging up your yard you need to work on your grass.

Most homes have gophers but if your grass is deep rooted six inches they stay well below the surface. When the grass becomes short rooted two inches the gopher plows up your yard.

Talk with a nursery on the best fertilizer for your grass to help long term. Short term stick a small flag on the area where one has come up and pack the area back down and check in twenty four hours if it has come back up the gopher is using this tunnel and place your off the shelve stuff or castor oil down this tunnel.

Good Luck

The best solution without a doubt is having a cat. However, may not be an option you choose. Next, method is to flood the holes with your water hose. The gopher will either drown or come out, if it does a slap up side its head with a shovel, rake etc. will solve its problem. If you see anymore new digings just keep harrassing it with water. It will go else where.

theres gopher traps that work. also try using a grub killer. gophers eat the grubs so if you kill them their food source is gone so they might leave. there's poisons that work as well as some repellants. Go to a lawn and garden place and ask what they recommend

Just let him be...maybe one day, if you are very nice, he will invite you over for a little gopher teaparty. You can say, "Hello mister gopher. I was going to hit you over the head and poison you until you were dead, but I'm glad we're friends!!"

Or, you can poison him and watch him throw up his entrails in the back yard for your amusement...

Your choice...
