Get a blood test from your doctor ASAP! If it is upon the skin, and looks supsicious, the growth will be removed and tested for cancer cell growth. There are so many kinds of Cancer, no two cancers or people are alike. Don't worry until a doctor has confirmed cancer, and then you can review your options. Cancer does not have to mean Death.

It depends what type of cancer.

The surest way to determine if you have cancer is a biopsy where the actual cells are analysed.

Other ways to detect possible cancers are to visualize tumors using various methods (x-ray, CAT scan, MRI, colonoscopy, etc)
