I am wondering if anyone else has had something similar happen to them. I haven't had a period since July 6, 7 neg home tests, and a negative blood test at the Dr. I am supposed to take Prometrium for 10 days to start my bleeding. I am just wondering if I could still be pregnant? I also have to go for a blood test to check my insulin level, and I have never had a blood sugar problem. I am wondering if I will start bleeding on the Prometrium if I am pregnant?

Any info will be helfpul.

The doctor would not do anything he thought would harm you. If it has been 3 months with no period and you don't have a positive test you are no pregnant. You would be more than pregnant enough to release enough hormone to show on a pregnancy test by now. This happens to quite a bit of girls at our office. It can be caused by a number of different things. I would suggest taking the Prometrium and following up with your doctor. Birth control could help regulate your cycles also.

Your not pregnant if you had a negative blood test. It sounds like there's another reason for your missed periods. Perhaps your underweight, or stressed, or you exercise too much or your extremely overweight. Did your doctor try to figure out the cause or did he just medicate you? Might want to get a second opinion if he didn't try to find out whats wrong. I've never used Prometrium so I can't tell you if you'll start bleeding if your pregnant while on it. Might want to ask a pharmacist that question.

I believe that you should ask for an ultrasound first prior to medicating. Then you should see if you have a fibroid tumor. those things can cause you to look like your tummy is getting big and they grow like a baby if not treated. The ultrasound will show if there is anything in there that need special attention. On a lighter note:) If you just got your cycle sometimes depending on your family history it might take a few months (2-6) just for your system to regulate and get on track, and during that time you could miss a few cycles. As long as you are not having unprotected sex, you should be okay. If all that fails, then you should consider using birth control pills for a while to help regulate how long and how often that you cycle will come. but to use or not to use birth control is a whole other set of issues. i hope this helps.

There are many reasons for missed periods.
I've gone a full month without one, and I have had friends who have gone six months without one. Usually, it's related to negative health, excessive exorcize or smoking, stress or illness.

If you've had so many negative tests, my best guess is that you are not pregnant. You might have some sort of condition, and who knows, all of the tests could be wrong... but it's doubtful. Wait it out and keep in close contact with your doctor...

I would ask the doctor to make sure or maybe do some research on Prometrium. I'm sure he wouldn't put you on it if it would hurt the baby but you never know it would be better to be safe than sorry. Good luck.

I haven't had my period since August 27th, I took two home pregnancy tests, both negative, and I have a doctor appointment next week, but I think I may have what you have. I need answers as well. Good luck to you- I don't know what's going on.

It depends on when you took the pregnancy test. You might want to retake one just to be on the safe side. If it comes up negative again, I would think that you arent pregnant.
