dose the government have plans to change the U.S to the North american alliance?

i heard this about a week or so on CNN and was wondering if anyone out there knows the real story, it was told on CNN that they have plans to merge mexico and canada by 2010 tell me what you think. will the people of all 3 countrys agree with this?

It was on Lou Dobbs and my blood ran cold. He took a poll in the US and the results were Against-96%
For -4%
I would like to think the Canadian results would be the same.Mexico would be shaky, although they have pretty well all the jobs in North America now, Thanks to NAFTA

You've got to be kidding. We'd never agree. I speak as a Canadian. We like our own peace-loving government too much. Besides, Canada is part of the British Commonwealth which is the largest commonwealth of democratic nations in the world. Why should be join such a violent, crime-ridden, unjust nation as the USA. We are free.

If properly done, it still wouldn't work. It shouldn't be tried, and anyone who believes it could be, needs a reality check. I heard the story you speak of, but anyone would admit, to be sure, that it is simply not do-able. Between the lines, the U.S. itself will far better off not to influence anything like that.
