I had written previously about me thinking that I was pregnant. My last period was Sept. 4th. I made sure I had sex a few days before and after ovulation. Last week I had all sorts of pregnancy symptoms from feeling nauseous, sensitive breast (to the touch), food cravings (like crazy!), I was gassy and constipated, and I was still tired all the time(still am). I also got headaches which I never get. I could barely stay up to listen to my professors! Well starting Thursday I started spotting light brown which lasted until yesterday. On Friday there was pinkish discharge tho very light pink. I also began having diarrhea from Saturday until Today. Well last nite I got my period. Is the possibility of pregnancy over? I took a cheap pregnancy test today but it came out negative. I know what I felt was very different. I barely get any symptoms when I’m starting my period. I just get some cramps day before and I start. But with this period I have all these symptoms. Could I still be pregnant

You probably had what is called a "false pregnancy". Unfortunately, when a woman thinks that she is or could be pregnant, she will conjure it up in her mind that she is and she will start to have "symptoms". It's called mind over matter. Also, pregnancy tests these days are pretty accurate. Sorry.

Some people have what is called "implantation bleeding" about the same time they would normally have their period. It is when the embryo and utereus and attaching and preparing for the "long battle ahead". So, before you lose all hope, give it a few days, then take another pregancy test. Sometimes it can take a few weeks for a positive result, depending on the actual date of conception, versus simply the date of your last period. I hvae tested negative as late as 10 days after my late period, only to have a positive test a few days later. So, I know it is not impossible.

However, our minds are also very powerful and my mind has "tricked" me into believing I was pregnant when I really was not. I will hope the best for you, but don't give up yet! Give it a few days, then take another test. If you are still unsure, call your doctor or a local clinic and drop in for a test and some help.

Good luck.

I recently had the same symptoms - turns out it was just my period. Some doctors will tell you that there can be light bleeding and you can still be pregnant. A period must be missed by 2 weeks at least (I think) in order for you to be pregnant. As far as having the symptoms of pregnancy, your body is off sometimes. I used to never have any symptoms. Then I got in a relationship and was having more sex and my hormones went wild. If you had a regular period, more than likely you are not pregnant. good luck~

I don't think you are, because I had the same Symptoms like 3 month ago and i was sure that i was pregnant even I took the pregnancy test but it came negative. Why you don't go to your local Plan Parenthood and ask for a pregnancy test and check up with the doctor just to make sure it won't cost that much.

um I think your should either set an appointment with your doctor. I heard someone still get their period whne they are pregnant so is possible that u are or your mind was playing tricks on you and sometimes the pregnantcy test can come out - eventhough u might b preg so to be sure just set an appointment.

Periods get rid of the eggs, even if you was pregnant the egg is being destroyed. Its very possible you may have been but something went wrong and the body took corse to kill it. It happens sometimes, if you wasnt aiming to be preg then congrats, Learn from past mistakes. As of now, you cannot be pregnant.

Also, Being scared and nervous also delays periods.
