I've heard a lot of creationists say that evolution promotes a lack of morality and cruelty towards other people. Is this true?

Its not the evolution perse. Its the idea about the GODLESS living and denying the day of judgement.

If you know that once you die, all your actions are done with and there will be no accountibility, then you do whatever pleases you.... the whole concept of morality will circulate around the power and pleasure principal. What keep people from commiting sin is that ultimately they will be jugded and are held accountable for their actions.

The evolution is the off shoot of GODLESS ideology, so it does not directly but indirectly promotes immorality and cruelty and also incidences like Columbine.

What effect does philosophy have on creationism? Religion which may have been based on philosophy has been evolving to keep up with current philosophy and our evolution in science. It's not so much where we were but where we are going and what we need to do about it. We should be at the point in our alleged evolution to know the difference and consequences of immorality and inhumanity.Creationist Evolution?

In this day and age, the godless ideology is de facto.

It is time for people to think about their actions now and how they affect others -- especially when we have to face them day in and day out. Inevitable is now, and so is the responsibility to take care of them -- not in the hope of afterlife.

Evolution promotes the changes necessary for it to happen. It is the ideology for us to improve on ourselves.

Millions upon trillions of people die and did not come back. Those who did good are remembered. Isn't that alone enough? Isn't improving yourself alone makes you a little more happy about life than not doing anything? Time to move on or be left behind...
