I've tried the same exact thing (clean and clear acne wash). I used to have the same problem.
A list of a few of the things i've tried
Proactive- Very good results, for the first WEEk, then it totally sucked.
Prescription anti biotics and face wash- Didn't see much of a change
Any kind of oil-cleansing pads- No change
ACCUTANE (isotretinion)
WONDERFUl results. I've only been on it for 2 months, and already, my acne is cleaing up. There's many side effects, and the prescription is owned by the government, making it harder to get your hands on. you'll have to go see a dermatolgist or a doctor to get it. Your deffinitely going to want medical insurance of some sort.
The real hassle about accutane is the monthly pregnancy checkups (females only, so that's not me) the monthly doctor checkup (to get a new prescription) and the monthly blood check (check's liver enzymes, triglicerides etc.) but it's not really that bad, and it's worth it.
Just try it, You'll probably be satisfied.
NO GETTING PREGNANT DURING USAGE OF ISOTRETINION PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION

A deep facial scrub is the best way to be rid of the spots and blackheads. For a home remedy tea tree oil works well as does Clearasil wash. Most pimple "medication" is via prescription only and involves not being on the pill or looking at having children or conception as it will cause foetal abnormalities. Have you ever seen those commercials for Proactive? I usually don't endorse a particular product or service but this stuff actually works!

Exfoliate with a facial puff then apply peroxide on a cotton ball. Depending on your face, you may want to moisturize afterwards if the peroxide gets to be too drying. If you find that doesn't work, there is a product called Acne Free that works just as well and isn't as drying as ProActive.

When I was younger my mother took me to the doctors and they prescribed some cream to put on them. I always but rubbing alcohol on my face to clean it, but the doctor said that can dry out my face cause it to produce more oil which equals more acne. Even the medicine they preserved did so they advised me to use a moisturizer to balance it out! Hope this Helps:)
