Sorry Habibi, but YOU need to ask yourselves that question.. Not us. And this hatred started a long time before Bush so that excuse is old and tired.
Just look at what is taught in your schools...
FIRST GRADE
" Every religion other than Islam is false."
"Fill in the blanks with the appropriate words (Islam, hellfire): Every religion other than ______________ is false. Whoever dies outside of Islam enters ____________."
FOURTH GRADE
"True belief means . . . that you hate the polytheists and infidels but do not treat them unjustly."
FIFTH GRADE
"Whoever obeys the Prophet and accepts the oneness of God cannot maintain a loyal friendship with those who oppose God and His Prophet, even if they are his closest relatives."
"It is forbidden for a Muslim to be a loyal friend to someone who does not believe in God and His Prophet, or someone who fights the religion of Islam."
"A Muslim, even if he lives far away, is your brother in religion. Someone who opposes God, even if he is your brother by family tie, is your enemy in religion."
SIXTH GRADE
"Just as Muslims were successful in the past when they came together in a sincere endeavor to evict the Christian crusaders from Palestine, so will the Arabs and Muslims emerge victorious, God willing, against the Jews and their allies if they stand together and fight a true jihad for God, for this is within God's power."
EIGHTH GRADE
"As cited in Ibn Abbas: The apes are Jews, the people of the Sabbath; while the swine are the Christians, the infidels of the communion of Jesus."
"God told His Prophet, Muhammad, about the Jews, who learned from parts of God's book [the Torah and the Gospels] that God alone is worthy of worship. Despite this, they espouse falsehood through idol-worship, soothsaying, and sorcery. In doing so, they obey the devil. They prefer the people of falsehood to the people of the truth out of envy and hostility. This earns them condemnation and is a warning to us not to do as they did."
"They are the Jews, whom God has cursed and with whom He is so angry that He will never again be satisfied [with them]."
"Some of the people of the Sabbath were punished by being turned into apes and swine. Some of them were made to worship the devil, and not God, through consecration, sacrifice, prayer, appeals for help, and other types of worship. Some of the Jews worship the devil. Likewise, some members of this nation worship the devil, and not God."
"Activity: The student writes a composition on the danger of imitating the infidels."
NINTH GRADE
"The clash between this [Muslim] community (umma) and the Jews and Christians has endured, and it will continue as long as God wills."
"It is part of God's wisdom that the struggle between the Muslim and the Jews should continue until the hour [of judgment]."
"Muslims will triumph because they are right. He who is right is always victorious, even if most people are against him."
TENTH GRADE
The 10th-grade text on jurisprudence teaches that life for non-Muslims (as well as women, and, by implication, slaves) is worth a fraction of that of a "free Muslim male." Blood money is retribution paid to the victim or the victim's heirs for murder or injury:
"Blood money for a free infidel. [Its quantity] is half of the blood money for a male Muslim, whether or not he is 'of the book' or not 'of the book' (such as a pagan, Zoroastrian, etc.).
"Blood money for a woman: Half of the blood money for a man, in accordance with his religion. The blood money for a Muslim woman is half of the blood money for a male Muslim, and the blood money for an infidel woman is half of the blood money for a male infidel."
ELEVENTH GRADE
"The greeting 'Peace be upon you' is specifically for believers. It cannot be said to others."
"If one comes to a place where there is a mixture of Muslims and infidels, one should offer a greeting intended for the Muslims."
"Do not yield to them [Christians and Jews] on a narrow road out of honor and respect."
TWELFTH GRADE
"Jihad in the path of God -- which consists of battling against unbelief, oppression, injustice, and those who perpetrate it -- is the summit of Islam. This religion arose through jihad and through jihad was its banner raised high. It is one of the noblest acts, which brings one closer to God, and one of the most magnificent acts of obedience to God."

The bottom line ; you say you just don't like my government policy toward you..
Really?
Well I do blame my government for their policy toward you..In a way.. For decades, the United States and Saudi Arabia have been locked in a “harmony of interests.” America counted on the Saudis for cheap oil, political stability in the Middle East, and lucrative business relationships for the United States, while providing a voracious market for the kingdom’s vast oil reserves. With money and oil flowing freely between Washington and Riyadh, the United States has felt secure in its relationship with the Saudis and the ruling Al Sa’ud family. But the rot at the core of our “friendship” with the Saudis was dramatically revealed when it became apparent that fifteen of the nineteen September 11 hijackers proved to be Saudi citizens.
Saudi Arabia has bought and paid for all the White House and Congressional influence it needs. This is why the recently released 9-11 report contains no mention of the secret documentation of Saudi Arabian complicity in the terrorism that took 3,000 American lives. As Senator Shelby noted on PBS NewsHour recently (he has read the secret report), 93% of the blanked out pages, and specifically those on Saudi sponsorship of terrorism against America and other nations, is a "con man's" effort to avoid "embarrassment.
The saudi kingdom is built on thievery, one that nurtures terrorism, destroys any possibility of a middle class based on property rights, and promotes slavery and prostitution. This kingdom also sits on one quarter of the world's oil reserves, thus ensuring that it receives the full support and protection of the U.S. government. The ruling family funnels millions of dollars to the Wahhabis, the powerful Islamic sect that rules the Saudi street and teaches the most hateful & violent form of islam in Saudi schools*, to the Taliban and al Qaeda, both of which Saudi Arabia helped to underwrite; and to the Muslim Brotherhood, one of the most violent and hateful of the U.S. groups(This sort of "religious education" is going on in Pakistan, Malaysia, and Indonesia -- generously funded by the House of Saud, unfortunately, the very students trained at these schools now view the Saudi royal family's existence as contrary to what they have been taught. Just keep in mind that quite a number of al-Qaeda's operatives have been trained in Saudi-sponsored madrasahs). This is in order to dissuade them from overthrowing the monarchy--a protection scheme that is shaky at best, given the hatred most citizens feel for the ruling family and the U.S.
you want to change our opinion habibi?
1. Stop committing violent acts.
2. Stop justifying those violent acts by reference to the Qur'an and Sunnah.
3. Stop saying violent or hateful things in private when you think no non-Muslims are around.
4. Begin comprehensive international programs in mosques all over the world to teach against the ideas of violent jihad and Islamic supremacism.
5. Actively work with Western law enforcement officials to identify and apprehend jihadists within Western Muslim communities.
Do these five things, and you'll find, voila, that perceptions of Islam will begin miraculously to improve.

No Americans do not hate Arabs or Muslims. I think some confusion is our dislike of radical Islamic muslims that feel the only solution for peace is blood shed. In fact Americans are very loving and long for global peace. It is unfortunate that Islamic extremist install the idea of a better after life so that there is no hesitation of suicide killings. The misconception is our goverment wants to take over the world, and force our way of life on "third world" countries. This is not true, however USA being the super power(global police) must manage and control these leaders/dictators so that they are not a threat to us and other countries. Middle eastern people may see this as bullying, but this is not the case. You could easily talk hours about this subject however the answer to the root of your question is that Americans DO NOT hate Muslims/Arabs. And I am not sure what your perception is of our goverment policy towards you and the third world. Can you elaborate?

America is a content, not a country and I guess you mean citizens of USA, don't you?
I do not think that any normal person hates you, why should they? Nor do I like the US government policy towards any and specially not to "the third world". I have been told that the word democracy doesn't exist in Saudi Arabia, is it true? I have also been told that the women are a second class citizen in Saudi Arabia, without any equal rights compared to a man. Is it true?

I'm a US citizen, and spent five years working in Saudi Arabia. I found the people mostly to be quite delightful, and I am hoping that the Saudi government will be more receptive to tourism than it has been in the past so that more Westerners can go and see for themselves what Arabia is all about. While there, I took the opportunity to study Islam closely. As religions go, it is no better or worse than most; there are some errors in the Qur'an, one of which has a significant adverse effect on Arab society, but otherwise it is fairly innocuous. Fanatics have taken the concept of jihad too far in waging war against kafirs such as me.

Hello. Being an american myself, I can tell you that a big part of Americans do not hate the arabs or the muslims. There seems to be so many stories going around in the news today and its hard to know which is true or not, as Americans, alot of the time, we are not told the truth even by are own government. Americans just doesn't understand your culture and your religous beliefs, they don't hate you, they just don't understand. I have a very good friend that is muslim overseas. Since I am Catholic, alot of people that know me don't understand why I would be friends with a muslim. But I'm friends with him because he is a very good person, he loves God and thats all that really matters to me. I believe that my government is wrong in trying to make your people adopt our way of living, that you should do what we do, believe in what we believe in, it's all wrong. I respect your people and your culture and your religion. You're human beings, not third rate citizens. Maybe the Arabs, the Muslims should try to teach Americans more about their way of life, their beliefs, that way more Americans would probley understand you more. I do apologize for what my government is doing to your country and your people. Americans, Arabs, Turks, everyone should let our leaders know that enough is enough. We can't have Peace unless we respect each other and come together as one people. But Americans do not hate you, they really just want to understand you more.

No because that is a generality, generality's are not true. Aside from that, yes "some" Americans hate Muslims. The reason being I suppose is that since almost every terrorist act today is committed by a Muslim some Americans see all Muslims as a threat. And since Muslin's will constantly riot over things like cartoons or some quote of a 14th century Pope yet will remain silent when it comes to condemning the Islamo-fascist among them, the feelings of these Americans that hate Muslins is understandable.

Well thats a pretty good reason to hate most of you..
Hate may be a bit strong at the moment but it is getting there...
The muslim fanatic stereotype is accurate and a war with the
Islamofaschist nations is not far away..
Do you think we appreciate all the saudi's on the airplanes that
crashed into the world trade center ?
Do you think we do not know about the saudi support of the muslim mosques teaching anti american / anti western / anti christian hate ?

I do not hate you. I don't even know you. Nor do I hate Arabs, Muslims, or anyone else in general. Why would you suggest that the government of the US's policy toward the Saudi's is a problem. We treat you with kid gloves because of the great control you have over the oil market.

Speaking for myself, I don't hate anyone. Hate is an awfully strong word. However, I do strongly dislike certain people. Mean people, child molesters, murderers, rapists, abusers, dirty politicians, liars, cheaters and terrorists. Doesn't matter what color skin you have, what religion you practice or where you live. If you are a bad person, you are a bad person - no matter what.
There is a diverse group of 'bad' people terrorizing others in this world. In the U.S. people are killed, raped, beaten, tortured and abused every day by whites, blacks, Mexicans, Asians and Muslim Arabs. Every school shooting in the past week (three schools, six children and one adult murdered) was the act of two white adult males and one white teenage boy. I don't dislike all whites for it. Two black youths beat, raped and strangled a 13-yr old girl in my neighborhood recently. I don't blame all blacks for this. Arab men affected our country in indescribable ways and altered the course of our nation on September 11, 2001 when they attacked us and killed nearly 3,000 people in a matter of a few hours. I don't blame or dislike all Arabs or Muslims because of this.
It's an unfortunate and violent world we live in - without tolerance, education, patience and respect, there will be those that ignorantly generalize about and 'hate' (really just fear & insecurity) entire races/religions. Let's change that, not perpetuate it. Your question opens a necessary dialogue on the road to a more tolerant and non-violent world. Good job!

I think "hate" is a strong word. Some may dislike any aspect of your culture and whatnot, but most people I know have nothing against people in Saudi Arabia. In fact, I think it's a pretty cool place. It all revolves around a matter of respect: I respect your country, you respect mine. One person may have a grudge against another person from Saudi Arabia, but nobody I know has an actual reason to hate the whole country and it's people.

I think “hate” is the wrong phrase. Loathe is probably a better word. Every time we see the news, the Muslims are attacking us somewhere in the world, or dancing in the street while they mutilate our dead soldier’s bodies. They perpetrated an unprovoked attack on New York on September 11, 2001. They have said at every opportunity that they want to bury the West and kill all Christians and Jews. Does it make you wonder why some might loathe the Muslims?
