I'm not one of those cynics, you see. But if you have a driving trip to take, do it BEFORE the elections! Do it NOW!!! The oil companies are having to cut back their massive profits by 50% so Bush and friends (does that still include Mark Foley?) don't get destroyed in the elections. And they are MAD!

However, the oil companies fully plan on making up those lost billions of dollars by jacking up prices to over $4 after the November 7th elections. You won't even want to drive to the local 7-Eleven after the elections!

As an aside, I would start planning all your family vacations in the October before any national election; the money you save on gas could buy a Latin American country, several large diamonds, or maybe even a weekend hunting trip with Dick.

Every time we threaten to start conserving, the oil producers ie Saudi Arabiq, Venesuela,Iran,,etc,,etc,,,drop crude prices so you stupid americans with short memories go back to being oil guzzlers.

The high prices have curbed demand, and with fewer production interruptions than a year ago the supply has increased. In short, it's market conditions, not politics, that controls the price of petroleum (and everything else).

Can you say "conspiracy theory" ???

It's the Iraq war of course! Isn't that why President Bush personally ordered the attacks on the twin towers? So that he could start a war with Iraq and steal their oil? Isn't that it?

I suppose Citgo is lowering their prices on President Bush's behalf, huh? It's his buddy, chavez, right? Helping out the Republicans?

I don't think so.

Yes but either way the republicans got a up hill battle to climb this time around, because no one can capture the hearts of the nation like bush did, because who in the republican party is really recognizable than bush was none..

The oil companies have a legitimate right to secure their investment. By lowering the prices they are helping their investment stay in the white house and make things easy for them.

I dont see anything wrong over here.

The price of oil is down for the same reason the price of Gold, silver, steel, and other minerals and commodities are down.
