Are you looking for what happens as the phase chages, for example, as a solid melts or a liquid vaporizes, or are you looking for what happens to the molecules of a liquid as the temperature changes?

In the second kind of case, as the temperature increases, the molecules will begin to move more and more rapidly. In a solid, the particles will just vibrate in place more rapidly. In a liquid and a gas, the particles will move more rapidly and will collide with each other with greater force.

Hope this helps...
